Looks like a Scotch Marching bass drum in another finish.

Yes to the above. Pass.

But I'd still go for the 1.5 hour drive though. Nice looking scenery there :)

The badge on the rack tom seems to be replaced to the front as well.

Would pass it too, you can find more original sets for that money.

And the toms can be pre-international sizes, what restricts your choice in drum heads.

Hello Christian,

I'd also say: pass. The bass drum seems to be a rewrapped addition (sparkle wrap is not the same as on the rack tom).

- But wait a minute ...

Tomorrow I'm going to buy a single Premier bass drum (probably 20"X16" or so) with cracked WMP wrap. The lugs shall be matching with your's.

So this could be the missing part to the whole thing (should I add that a Prem flatbase hihat and a 250 pedal would be available, too?).

But I'd NEVER pay EUR 990 for the set (due to the 'wrong' bass drum, as also there is no hardware added, besides the bass drum pedal only). I'd say: max. EUR 500 - not one Cent more.

Cheers, Ralf

NB: let's talk per email tomorrow.

Buy a vintage Olympic!

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

You guys are right, i was not sure but i did not trust that 24/10" Bassdrum and some other little details!

Ralf you are right that price is far to high!

Thanks for your help...it´s easier to make my mind up when i hear some other opinions:-)

I think this was a kit fixed up and sold by Mark Ellen...

Someone bought it from him and is trying to turn a little profit?

Maybe Mark will show up and comment.
