Premier Royal Ace

Loading...

Hi VDF... I'm new here and I've got some questions.

I've got a vintage early-60s Premier Royal Ace 14x4 piccolo snare in mahogany duroplastic which needs a little tlc. Can anyone tell me how to find the serial number, if there is one? And does anyone know the best place to get parts - it needs a strainer and the throw cover for the left side?

Assuming I've done it up a bit, how much will it be worth? How much is it worth now?

Thanks you lot... all answers appreciated.

Ebay uk - or mikedolbear.com, vintage section.

Wires are now obtainable from Puresound, I think.

Price?

Ebay gives a pointer. I´d say around £100-130 for a fully functional and nice one, maybe 150 if you find the guy who really wants one badly.

Regards

Jon

Hi there

I'm looking for a 4" Royal Ace in Mahogany finish to complete my pre 1963 'Ringo' kit project so if you were ever interested in selling the snare drum I would be interested in it! Thanks

Hi all... thanks for the replies. I'm not into selling it yet... but I may change my mind in the near future. What would you give me for it? It's missing 2 tension rods, strainer and the butt plate. Everything else in good working order, bar a few scratches.

I've found strainers and tension rods - anyone know where I can get a Royal Ace butt plate? None on Ebay at the moment...

Thanks
