Planned to just consign/sell to my local drum shop in the next week or so, but figured I'd put this on my local CL and post it here for any Premier enthusiasts first.
'60s (I think) Royal Ace COB Piccolo Snare. 4"x14" depth. Hardware (parallel strainer, badge, extremely hard to find "double ten" wires, die cast hoops and tone control) all in great shape, fully-functional and original. Only non-original components are the heads and the tension rods on the snare side, which are standard tension rods. The batter side tension rods are the original slotted rods. Could use a cleaning, but otherwise solid.
The parts are super rare and all there, which is the blessing and the curse of this drum.
Looking for $200 + shipping (US only). Sorry the pics aren't the most detailed. I will send pics of anything specific and answer any questions, as this would only be my second time shipping drums and want to be totally upfront about any issues. There are two of these on eBay at the moment but the badge is larger on this one.
Great, cracking snare. Recorded and released music using it, but I now have two piccolos which is one too many for a non-collector.
Thanks,
J
