Hello Sir, I also have a 1967 oyster 2001 snare silver strip badge and early hoops, I have had a couple of later 2001 snares in oyster but this is the only 1st issue example I have seen in this colour. I have just pictured the drum next to a rare 14x4 Royal Ace in oyster wrap. Both of these snare drums are from my own personal collection. I am after a Royal Ace 66-67 in this wrap, anybody got one for sale??? kind Regards John

Wow John, there's no mistaking that for brass on the 2000. I'm glad you put up photos as I've never seen one like that before and likely never will again.Sorry about the photo of mine. Yes, the lever has broken on it (see photo). I haven't got it in my possession yet but from what you're saying it's likely to be a COA shell? I do have an uncommon 1963 10 lug brass RA that is ex NZ Symphony Orchestra. It's a lovely drum

Hello, the 10 lug RA is very rare, I have only had 1 example and sold it last year I found some pictures of it. Again a superb drum I am pleased I know of another example very cool!! Regards John
