Does anyone on here have a Project One snare and if so, can you tell me the good and bad things about it?
I have thought about one for a long time.

I have one. Years and years ago, I heard one at a place where I was buying drums, and I recall it sounding sharp and full. Got one off eBay a few years ago, and it was nothing like I remembered. It's OK. I have not, however, tried miking it up through that hole on the side, nor have I tried any tweaking or extensive dialing in with anything more than standard Ambassadors top and bottom.

From what I've been told about the P1 is that it's a great snare for recording and symphonic work because of the resonance. It probably has a lot of drawbacks for the average drummer.
I have 4 of those little critters, 2 are Black Shadow, 14 X 8 and 14 X 5 1/2
the others, a Black wrap, 14 X 8 and a Cherrywood, 14X 8
best sounding snares in wood you'll ever want to own
Hi lads.I just bough p1.But it has massive crack on inner lay.Sound is good.am I so pose to do something on that crack ,or just leave it ?
