Premier Powerhouse Drums

From newschool

look closely, it's the exact same kit but a different finish.and no I am not the seller.

I did and it's not. Pull up your Premier cats and hone in on the details of this one. It's VERY different from the store kit.

Unless the front head is just there to throw you off, I'd assume they're APK's - mid-range kits.

That is indeed an APK kit. It appears to be an early iteration. APK stands for "Advanced Power Kit" and was a branch of the Royale line of Premier drums. it's an entry level kit that used mediocre wood for the shells and sub-par hardware. it's a line that cut corners to cut cost. The insides were painted black for some of the production years and the shell material even ventured into the obscure ... particle laminates? Ask Poppy about his run-in with one.

Hope that brings us up to date, now.

What do you guys think this Powerhouse kit is worth? Maybe I should offer them $600? Thanks.

i think if you realy like the the kit and you can get that for six then pull the triger . i think its probaly worth a bit more than that . and i also think that vintage premier drums are under valued . at six you got a nice kit and you wont be sorry . good luck on that, if you get that kit ya better learn some blondie tunes
