I don't usually collect "british" drums even though I'm from the UK, but a friend gave me a Premier popular 5x14, 8 tube lug model snare.
Stamped in shell.
I was wondering if anyone knew when Premier started making the 8 lug model? I can find the 6 lug in the Premier catalogs, but can't see any 8 lug drums ??
Any info would be helpful dating this baby. I don't even want to keep it if I'm honest. But, it was a "freebie".

8 lugs model is older than 6 lugs model...
The Popular Model 6 lugs appeared in the 30s catalogs, but the model with 8 lugs is in the 1927 et 1928 catalogs ;)
