Sounds good. Experiment with it should get a good thud out of it. What about a thicker snare head.

Here they are. I liked the vintage vibe this snare had in the wrap, but it was stronger than me. The pictures look better than it was in person anyway. The wrap was very damaged due to UV light, usage and maybe improper storage.

Pay attention to the stamp in the re-ring. Does anybody know what it is? S8? 85 mirrored?

Ah, right, look forward to seeing it. Never wet sanded anything myself and interested to see what the finish will look like!
