Premier Green Acrylic

Loading...

Premier green acrylic 4 piece, custom made by Me. 13, 16, 24 & snare. RCI shells, 1972 hardware. I sold these for a huge profit to a guy in Japan, but I really regret doing it. Some day I will build another acrylic vintage Premier kit. These were TOO loud. Gr8 for punk rock, and maybe metal (yuk!), but way too loud for R & B/Dub reggae (my real love). Of course, there's always thicker heads/padding.....

As you can see in the pics, when I rebuild a vintage Premier kit, the 1st thing I do is re-tap the lug mount screw holes in the lugs. Then I use stainless steel screws/washers/lock washers. Makes for an awesome fit and you NEVER end up with loose washers & screws rolling around inside a drum after a gig (a re-occurring problem with vintage Premiers).
