I have recently acquired 2 Premier Snare Drums... I believe they are both aluminum shells.

From what I have been told they are circa 1970's.

One of them has a small 'P' and 10 lugs with a center bead while the other has a large P with with 8 slotted lugs and appears to be a 2000 model

with the strainer extending beyond the shell.

I have attached links showing both:

Any information would be helpful.

Hmmm...neither of those drums seems to have 10 lugs. The beaded one may be a student model, but I'm not sure. I have one of those 2000s, and it sounds killer! Very much like my aluminum Supra from the same era. It should have a cool parallel action throwoff with snares that extend past the shell on both sides.
