I think those are 1980's drums with the Beverley lugs.

Yup, Projectors were released around '84, sat under the Resonators in the product line, the shells are birch w/ beech rerings & this one was probably made before 88 because I believe they went with long lugs on later models. I dig those Beverly style lugs though! BTW, not Yamaha-era badge, which would be about a decade later. I owned a Resonator from this period. Great drums, but the Resonator weighed a ton. I would have preferred a Projector model without the second inner shell.

It's a 1987 or 88 Projector in White Ghost finish, so just around the time that Yamaha bought Premier. The finish is pictured in the 1987 catalogue.

The RokLok holder means it's more likely to be 88 as they arrived just prior to the launch of the long lug APK drums. Before that Projectors normally came with the more adjustable Fastball holder. The other alternative is that someone has replaced the Fastball holder with a RokLok and it's slightly earlier.

A Projector is just a Resonator minus the inner ply in terms of shell. Apparently some endorsers removed the inner shells of their Resonator kits as they preferred the sound, though I've never seen anything concrete regarding it.
