Premier double bass kit Last viewed: 1 day ago

Two 22x14s, 8x12, 8x14(rare), 16x15, 14x14. Really excellent shape factory matched kit in white. Has a couple of scratches in finish but other than that, in real good shape. All in round with no separation anywhere in the shells. Re enforcement hoops all tight. Chrome is excellent. All Original cast hoops. No tom arms. I do have a small box of parts for the tom arms. But the actual joint is needed to complete them. I never got around to finding them as I never intended to use them. No extra holes. All tension rods are proper hide thread style that the kit is supposed to have. This means when the drum is tuned up, you won't see the threads of the tension rod, thus creating a cleaner look. The bass drums have nice heads. The batter are premiers version of the evans eq3 heads. so they are deep and punchy. Probably expensive heads. The batter heads on three of the toms are old. Bearing edges on all drums are perfect. One of the bass drum legs is a slingerland from what I understand. It worked and fit well into the original premier bass mount, so I never bothered to change it.

Any questions, just ask! We'll trade numbers and talk. I'm in southern California. I'd like to get 1100. It is a factory matched kit double bass kit. I don't think I've ever seen another factory matched double bass kit in person so I think this is easily fair. Please be someone who is gonna take care of this and appreciate it. Not buy it and immediately want to sell this tom or that tom and butcher it up, or separate it. I would like it to go to a good home.

thanks

Bad ass Jason . Keith Moon would be proud to own that .

Warning ... Avoid member statuscymbal here, vintage_collector on DFO , and americanpatriot10 on eBay. Email me for his name. All are the same shady guy who has burned me and a list of other members on both boards . He is also selling on Facebook too ..

Thanks .That was actually the reason why I bought it. But I would have to do unthinkable things with rogers hardware to those shells. Plus I would only need the bass drums because keith had 18(deep)x16 floor toms, which I've already acquired. It would be a waste of this kits real potential and value.

too bad you don't have a few more toms you could break the set in two, in which case I'd make you an offer, I'd love that kit but don't need a double bass

Lots of Slingerland drums

Thats exactly what I don't want to do. Aren't you guys tired of hearing about someone who had a matching blue note kit that they separated, and kick themselves later down the road. Honestly, when was the last time you saw a factory matched double bass kit? Even a lot of the smaller kits these days have been pieced together. Every time someone does this, it makes an original kit worth more. It's easy to piece kits together. And I've definitely done that a few times. Those are my "players" kits. This is a little more value than that. I definitely won't separate this kit.

No worries man! I apologize if i was abrasive! I guess I'm getting touchy with selling stuff. It seems like no ones serious anymore. And no one appreciates anything lately.

According to the pics in the premier catalogs, I think it's a 1972 707 kit. Any year before that shows the round "spigot" mount, And any year after 1974 shows the dual tom posts. So I'm guessing 1972 give or take a year or.. http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/premier_drumsets.html

I had close to the same exact set I found on CL a few years back...but mine were blk...

Only difference......mine had a 8 by 12 and 9 by 13,,,,,,,so,maybe 1972-73 on it......

No one seemed too interested in it as a DB...so ended up slitting it up.....

A guy in Italy got the 8 by 12 and 14 by 14 together...

Sold off a 22,13,16 set....

and a guy on here got the other 22" BD for a Moonie kit he was doing...
