Premier Dominion Ace

Loading...

A buddy brought me this drum the other day to ask my opinion on what it is worth and since I know little about Premier Drums I thought I would post some pix on here and see what The Premier experts think.

I did a little research and I think this is a late 30's Dominion Ace with plenty of issues.

The Bad

- 2 lugs missing

- Shell painted

- both snare leavers missing

- muffler missing parts

- 6 tension rods missing

- reso wires missing, broken batter wires

The good

- All though the shell is painted it is in great shape and there are no extra holes

- despite the missing parts both snare mechanisms function well

I'm just looking for a ball park figure on the value of this drum in it's present state.

Thanks,

Cam

Sure ain't much left that's for sure, it's a Premier Dominion Ace, circa mid 30s or earlier/ I would be interested in a purchase for parts, PM me if interested

Hi. To my recollection white was one of the finishes available. I have a Dominion Major from that era and it came white as well, with more missing parts then yours and I bought mine for €25. Mine was missing the tension rods, hoops, muffler, and snare lever. I can't put a price on yours though. Good luck!

You could be right about the paint. The inside of the shell looks good but the exterior paint job looks a little sloppy. Maybe someone put a second coat on the exterior at some point in this drums life.

Thanks,

Cam
