I saw this Premier APK on cl for $200, I use to own one of these kits, I remember they sounded pretty darn good and made in England.
So, I emailed him and he said he'd take $175, I may just take him up on that.

I don't know much about Premier, but for the price of a decent dinner for 2, it looks like you can have a very nice looking kit in great sizes. Even decent MIJs are generally going for more than that these days. Heck, you can even flip it for more than that if you don't like it.
I don't see a downside here...
I think it's a good deal. You have little to lose. I like the satin flame. Go for it.
UPDATE: I just checked online. It appears the shells are eucalyptis/merranti, whatever that is. Another guy said they're birch. That's a plus. Good deal. I'd buy them. Put good heads on and they'll be usable, I'm sure.
I also read that the XPK drums are birch, so not sure what is correct. I had heard a rumor years ago that one of the Premier lines was made of pressed cardboard.
Did you get them? Good price!!
Cheers
I'm going to look at them tomorrow.
this from the Premier web site:
The APK range offers incredible value for money and has outstanding sound performance.
APK is one of the easiest drum kits to set-up and tune out of the box and with its 100% birch shells, it offers a more full-bodied tone suitable for any musical genre.
Using all of Premier’s experience, the APK is packed full of features that includes low-mass lugs, a fabulous chrome-plated ISO mounting system and a range stylish wraps that will keep your drums not only sounding great, but looking great for years to come.
Like the XPK, it carries the same little features such as the rubber plinths under the claw hooks to protect your investment.
I`m assuming you passed on these?
Cheers
