Premier 2000 Problem

Loading...

Hello there fellow members!

I'm Isaak from Austria, and I have a quite delicate problem, which I hopefully will solve with your help.

I own a Premier 2000 Snare Drum. It's a wonderful piece and I'm very glad I found it. But a year ago I was quite stupid.

I thought: The carpet mechanics of this snare are quite old and a bit damaged. If I replace the mechanics with a new and standardized 14"-one, I have a nice snare drum with an uncomplicated carpet-holder.

But I was so wrong.

When I had disassembled the mechanics of the snare, I realised that I am a) not able to reassemble it and b) not able to replace it.

So now I am the owner of a disfunctional Premier 2000.

Do someone of you know somebody who can fix this? Reassembling and restoring. I would be really glad if you could help me with this!

Yours

Isaak

Good luck!

I bought a bunch of 2000 marching snares years ago cheap....and took one apart for parts....(die cast hoops,t rods etc)

There was no way I could figure out how to put Humpty back together again!

If you look...you can find them (here) for as low as $150 US....so maybe you will have to use your for parts now too......and just buy another.......

I scanned this from an old catalog, hopefully it will help as long as you didn't loose any parts.

You can find a drawing here (my post dated 04/08/12):

Good luck - the reassembling is worth it!
