I picked this snare up recently. It's an early production Premier 2000 with COB shell. It seems that Premier used the brass Royal Ace shell at the start of production before moving to the COA shell. It also has the earlier badge and beer barrel hoops. It looks like the one from the 1968 catalog where the 2000 first appeared (although it was first released in 1966). There doesn't seem to be too many of these around.
