Premier 1920's snare drum?

Loading...

Hi there,

Please, someone help me :-)

I bought a Premier "Popular Model" 14X5,5 NOB snare drum.

It was made in the 20's (I think from 1925 to 1927) so one of the first line drums what ever came from the factory. But I don't know is it an original piece or just a copy?

I don't want to sell it! Just for safekeeping.

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Balázs

If it had eight lugs I`d swear it was a 20`s Mayfair. Maybe that`s the difference between the two.

Oh, That`s no copy, That`s the real deal.

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

As OddBall, says, It's the real deal. The Popular model was a 6 lug entry level snare, a cheap but functioning snare, I have one

Howya,

Currently there is a slightly later Dominion Major is up for auction on Ebay.co.uk. No original wires or handle but otherwise looks to be in reasonable shape. I have the same drum, all original...

Thank you Spart,

I appreciate your help, but already have this type. Need that one exactly - with those 1937's throw-off and hoops. You have a 1939-40's Dominion Major... anyway gorgeous piece!

Many thanks again,

Balage
