I'm not having much luck with the Duraline head so perhaps someone has one of these they'd be willing to sell. Thanks very much.

Have you called the older drum shops such as Long Island Drum in NYC and Pro Drum Shop in LA, 2112 percussion in Raleigh and any other older shops for that matter and asked if they have one laying around? I was able to locate some NOS Ludwig High collar bongo heads at two different shops a while back by calling and asking them to look. Older shops will have random older stuff on their sheves that a guitar center or sam ash won't have and it is easier for someone to blow off an email than someone on the phone. I only say these fairly obvious things because I have seen a lot of people just relying on website inventory or email when trying to find some oddball item and having no success.
There was also another synthetic head brand back in the 80s called COMPO. They weren't kevlar, they were made from some other type of material that looked and felt more like a regular drum head. They had a couple of layers and were extremly durable. Might be able to find one of those.
Thank you very much for the valuable suggestions and information, thin shell! I really appeciate your input and will definitely follow up. It's great to see a fellow member taking the time to help. Once again, thank you, sir!!!
