Premier 1026 snare

Hi,

I just stumbled upon this Premier snare selling at a promising price. After some research I concluded it's a steel 1026 snare most probably from the 90's. What is not very encouraging to me is that the original top hoop seems to be replaced. What do you think / say / know about these snares?

That snare is from the 80's and they are decent snare drums and they are under rated , i had a few of them and sold them to get other premier snare.

your die cast top rim looks like a sonor to me .

What do they usually sell for? Does the 6.5 x 14 sell at the same price level?

I've not tried the steel shelled ones but I have a Premier 35 which looks the same but has 10 lugs and is aluminium. They are a copy of the Supraphonic and a very good one too. You'd expect to pay around $100 for one. The one here should be less than that. The top hoop should be a TF hoop so no big deal. You could probably sell the DC hoop and buy a TF hoop and get change.
