Preferred method for removing Ludwig badge?

Loading...

My latest project is rescuing a WFL Club Date 12" X 15" floor tom from the kindling pile. (Some pics here - accidentally posted in wrong forum.) It needs just about everything :), and I've never done an extensive restoration like this one, but I think it'll be a good learning experience.

I imagine this subject has been covered here before, but I searched the forum for "removing badges" and didn't come up with anything. What is the standard / best / easiest way to remove a badge without damaging it?

Thanks.

You might check at How to Refinish a Drum for some info there.

A step drill bit is the best, but then you'll have to put a new one in. It works for me.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....
