Also, does COB pit out like the usual chrome over aluminum? Might be anotherhint that you have brass under the chrome.

no, the COB shells shouldn't show any pitting at all!!

I observed with attention the bearing edge picture and YES it is definitively correct. I also compared the edge with a '67 LUDALLOY Supra....it is different.

So i checked again the shell, inside and outside, but i can't see wealded seam!!

About other hints:

1) no pitting at all;

2) the imperial lugs are like the MSCHRANT snare, and diffrent from '67 Supra.

Now, what is the definitive response of 'Ludwig Gurus'.......I bought this snare as COB SUPRAPHONIC! (with not original hoops).Help2
