Powered Hot Spot Monitor

Looking for something to replace the traditional floor wedge. Have seen several on the market (Mackie, Berhinger, Nady) that mount on a mic stand, having about 150w power rated. Speakers from 5-6" dia.

Anyone have any experience with something like this? Playing Classic and Blues at less than ear splitting level, but still plenty loud.

Any recommentation for a Hot Spot Monitor.

I love my Hot Spot. I place it right under my floor tom. I think I paid $200 for it.

Galaxy Core PA5X140

I think it's an obsolete model now.

The bad news is that theses little puppies are heavy. At a size not much larger than a notebook, it weighs a whopping 15 pounds.

What do you push through it, I would like to mike my kick at this little venue I play, maybe some vocals.

I come out of the PA "preamp out" and catch everything that's through the PA system.
