possibe vintage rogers kit?

Loading...

I know there is only so much you can tell from a picture, and I only have a few that were sent to me. I may be trading my Sonor 3005 full maple it for this and a Pearl free floating snare, and I was wondering if any of you can let me know what you think of this kit. The lugs seem to match vintage Rogers catalogs, and I found other kits that had these floor tom leg clamps, but the tom mount looks off. After market? Other than that, I dont know any fine details.

They are not vintage Rogers.

These are Brook Mays last Rogers issue. Maple shells, suspension mounts, beavertail reissue lugs, good drums.

If you decide to pass on this kit, I might be interested.

Do you think it is good enough to trade my Sonor 3005's? Of equal, better or lesser value? I know it's mostly about what I want to sound like, but I would like a good resale value of course.

Also, what are the bearing edge of these drums?

I havent seen these edges yet. I believe they are double 45. There are so few of these sets actually out there. Brook Mays introduced these just prior to the earth shattering lawsuit/bankruptsy.

These are not the classic Rogers drums. And the resale value is nonexistent among those who collect Rogers drums. There are a very few geeks like me who want them. ..... For what might have been, and damn yamaha, for what they are now.

Because of it's scarceness, do you think these are worth at least $400? Among said Rogers geeks? I like this kit and the bearing edges suit me, and I'm not a terribly materialistic person, but I am concerned about trading my current kit for this one. I'm afraid I may not like it and end up taking a hit should decide to sell it.
