Thanks! This is actually vinyl fabric (around $55 after shipping for 2 yards x 54"). It looks great but only drawback is there is no plastic protective coating...so you have to be careful not to mess up the wrap when moving the drums. The bass spurs were some of the parts that were missing when I bought the drums. I got some new ones for it. Not vintage/original, but they work :)

Is it thicker than regular wrap? If so, do you have to not wrap all the way to the edge, so there is clearance for the head? How do you adhere it to the shell? I imagine it's probably easier to work with because it's not as stiff or brittle as wrap can be, and the price is sure right. The durability factor though would be a tough one to get past for me. I use padded bags for transport and I handle and set up/break down my drums myself, but still, they can get bumped, dropped, tripped over etc. How have yours held up? Do you think that it has any effect on the sound vs. regular wrap?

I have only gigged with one kit and it has done fine. It's not any less durable than if you had a lacquer kit. Worst case scenario, if it got really messed up you could re-wrap it and it wouldn't be a big deal money wise since it is so cheap.

The clip bracket is purposely installed closer to the bottom head to give you a slight bit more height. It looks like the bracket itself is installed upside down as well. The rounded part of the bracket should be facing the top head (I know it is in the picture, but the bracket should be closer to the bottom head, not the top, thus making it upside down). I'm not able to see the badge in the pics. Is the badge upside down also? If not, you can usually coax it into being rotated.Sorry if you already knew that, just wanted to help a fellow MIJ brotha out.

Just now saw your comment about the clip/tom mount being upside down....I mounted it this way on purpose :) I like my toms mounted as low as possible.
