Thank you good to know. So my friend's tom must be wrapped in silver glitter then. today I'm going to call Precision and see if they still have "vintage nickel silver sparkle" - don't see it on the site. Gonna get some swatches! :)

One last look at the scarred, plugged and filled shell all coated in contact adhesive.

One last look at the inside. It could use some bearing edge work, but I'll see how it sounds before I remove any wood.
I relocated the tom bracket down so that the new holes straddle the plug in the shell.
Completed 8x12" clubdate tom.
