Please help me identify this floor tom!

It is a 16x14 floor tom that came along with my first kit. I am wondering how old it is, what brand it is (no badge), and what the wrap (finish) is called.

What is that interior finish, and what is the ''glassy'' looking think between the exterior finish and the wood?

Tank you for your time!

Likely an old stencil kit made by Pearl and distrbuted by any number of brand names. The wood is lauan and shows the grain running vertically. No real bearing edges. The finish is cool-looking as was the case with many of these kits. It's probably from the late -60's-early 70's vintage. I would need to see more pictures to determine a guess at value. The weirdness of the finish has a lot to do with the value of these old Japanese kits to collectors...and of course condition and overall unique-ness are factors, too.

Here are som more pictures, any idea of value etc?

As you can see, there is a scratch, at the size of a fingernail. These are the only pictures I have right now, but I might be able to get more soon,

Thank you VERY much!

I think the finish is called "60's bathroom countertop"!!

Just kidding, just kidding.....:)

Are you sure that is not some type of coating over the actual finish?
