Please help identify this Ludwig Snare stand from garage sale.

Hello and thank you all!

I've been reading the forum for a few days now and decided to become a member and join the awesome family.

I recently came across this Ludwig snare stand at a garage sale for $5, but I don't really know anything about it. What year, model, etc...

Can you guys be so kind and help me identify this?

So far, I found out that the atlas versions had "Atlas" engraved in one of the basket arms. This one does not say that, it just says Ludwig Pat. Pend.

Then the Hercules models had plastic wing nuts or thumb dials I guess. But this one has all metal wing nuts. And they look different from the ones I have seen during my google research, ha ha.

Here are a few pictures to hopefully make this easier.

Thank you all!

It's an Atlas snare stand. My guess is late 60's or early 70's.

Thank you Stallwart

I am learning about this new world (to me) of vintage drums and parts. I follow along all the new stuff, but I'm finding out how interesting can be to learn more about where it all can from.

I ordered new rubber feet for it and probably going to use for my spare snare. I'll have to try and clean it up a bit, I'm sure it'll turn out great.

Thank you green glass drum

I love Mr. Cho, ha ha.

Yeah it is in very nice shape. It has very little surface rust, and I mean very little. The rubber cover on the basket arms are just starting to show some sign of wear (I don't think it was used much). The only thing that was missing was the rubber feet, but I have three news ones on the way.

Now I have to find a cool Ludwig snare to match 😉
