I got the same hit, Mike... the strainer, never saw one like that. If it was swapped out, and there are some stray holes under there, that'll explain the strainer. Looks original to the drum though. Be nice to have Mike Curotto chime in here. He'll know from the strainer what it is.

New member K Silber recently put up this snare on the sonormuseum site and asked if was sonor. it`s not, but was suggested Premiere. The strainer looks similar or the same. It has no markings.

I now think WFL.

What say yoooze guys ?

Wow found in a barn! Amazing!

Oddball I guess it could be wfl, but Henk seemed to think mine was similar to the Sonor free floater, only he'd only seen it in chrome. But the throw on mine is exactly the same strainer as on Henk's free floater in the Geek section. I've added pics of the inside of shell btw if you want to check them out. I'm stumped.

But I know that wfl was heavily influenced by the sonor metal drums and made almost exact replicas of those drums early on. So who knows?
