I have one almost identical; gotta go home and dig it out this afternoon. I had always suspected it was a Duplex, but mine has no identification whatsoever on it either. One thing I know- I bought it from a lady who told me it was a family piece and that they had been a family of circus trapeze people! So, whether it was an orchestra drum or something out of a music box makes a lotta sense.
