It looks to me to be a IIIb stamp.

Many thanks, very much appreciated. I'm more inclined to trust your expertise! I'm really looking forward to getting this one... My first K Istanbul. It looks to be in good shape and will hopefully blend in well with my 50's A's.

Agree, Its a IIIb. In the IIIc stamp, the star is above the crescent and the "Made in Turkey" curving around the crescent is father aware from it at the ends as compared to your example.

Many thanks for confirming. I can now see the difference with regard to the crescent etc. As I said before this is my first K Istanbul so I'm new to this game - it really is in the detail.

Received the cymbal today at work... Got back a few hours ago. WOWZAH!!! Excited This cymbal is unbelievably good, by far the best I've owned... I was very worried after laying down a lump of cash (by my standards) that I'd be disappointed, but I needn't have worried. Amazing stick definition, beautiful wash, awesome crash, everything that I could have asked for.The sound in my head, for goodness sake! As soon as I tapped it the smile grew, and hasn't left (and probably won't for quite some time). "Holy Grail" indeed, believe the hype!

Attached are a few pics, taken on my phone so they may not be the best. I'm recording with my jazz trio in a few weeks, so may post a recording if anyone wants to hear it.

Anyhow, many thanks for helping with the ID of the stamp. Warmest vibes to all @ VDF!
