I'd like to see a picture of those. I had never seen a Standard set in person, so I was really quite surprised at how deep the color is. This one has a fair amount of pink/purple in it. It may be called red, but I sure don't see a ton of red. Of course 1969 was a long time ago....jim
Well, we're lucky. They made Standard kits in many finishes, including the common sparkle finishes. The 'strata' finishes are the best I think.
That Lemon Strata just above this is a fine kit as well. I've never seen the L/S in person.
Here's a link to a picture here on the forum gallery, and also, if you click on my sig you'll go to my website where there are a bunch more pix of my kits.

The down side to having any relatively rare wrap is adding additional drums. Way back in the dark days of yore I switched to one up and two down, or two floor toms. I FINALLY found the matching floor tom in good enough condition for restoration and inclusion with my kit just last month. I had been looking for one at an affordable price for a couple years.
One word of caution: These wraps tend to be 'thinner' than the regular Ludwig wraps. Not stupid thin like the MIJ stencil stuff from the same era, but still a bit thinner than what you may be used too. So be careful if you gig the kit, and bag it or case it before you start to move it in and out of places. This is not blue sparkle, you just don't see these wraps everywhere.
