Great! I once had a Royal snare wit those hoops. I think they were brass. A magnet wouldn't stick. Nice job!

Thank you all for your compliments. They inspire to make other cool stuff.

I've tested this drum in a band rehearsal. I could not get it to sound like I wanted it. I had an aquarian z100 head on it (pretty thivk, coated, and with a powerdot on the inside). It made the sound too dry and compact (midrange pronounced too much). I'll try a regular ambassador, I allmost always like my drums the best with ambs.
