Phil Rudd in trouble again... Last viewed: 4 hours ago

Zen - If what you say is so, then Rudd stands an excellent chance in court of beating the drug charges. Without knowing the details, I would assume that the drugs were discovered when they searched his house. If the reason they were there was to arrest him for the murder conspiracy then the drug charges become (incidental) to the initial charge - which was dropped. If not for the false murder conspiracy charge, the police would never have had cause to go into his house looking for drugs. Ergo he can beat the drug bust by claiming that the police had no right to be in his house in the first place. I hope that made sense, I'm not sure if I'm expressing myself correctly, but you get the gist of what I'm saying. I think Rudd has a chance to walk on all charges.Hope has the best lawyer money can buy...John

I think your assessment is just right. From what I've seen in the media the drugs were a surprise discovery working on a warrant for the "procuring a murder" (or whatever they formally call it), but I haven't actually seen the wording of the warrant posted anywhere. We've also had a few high profile cases relating to issues with warrants for searches being a bit too "fishing expedition" recently which means the police have to tread carefully there as well. The police may want the whole thing to go away as soon and as quietly as possible.

My only experience with the Kiwi's was in Afghanistan. They flew me in their RNZAF C130 out of Kandahar. I remember they spin the engines up to full with the brakes on and we took off like a bat out of hell. Once we got up to cruising altitude they blasted some Bob Marley and other cool Reggae. Some of the nicest and most professional military folks I dealt with and a rare great day in Afganistan.

I am sure once the dust settles and the media comes back to reality that things will look better. You don't become so successful without your wits about you and I know he is no exception to the rule.

Saw "Play Ball" their newest video a couple of days ago and noticed he's using Premier and super sized to 26" Bass drum now. What a bummer for Premier. I guess it took a lot of 'grease" to have him on board and now this?
