Peter Tork's Passing

Loading...

Damn! Another one leaves us! I was never a huge Monkees fan but, from what I understand, Peter Tork was an accomplished musician and a heck of a nice guy.

Hey, Hey, we're The Monkees! I loved watching that show. He survived cancer for ten years, he's in God's hands now.

What a band up in Heaven

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Yep, he could play. Steve Stills commented that he was a better guitarist than a bass player! That's a pretty good endorsement! it would be interesting to find out how he ended up on bass.

The Monkees were part of my childhood memories of carefree goofing around and fun. They depicted the life I thought was perfect (at the time) -four best buddies living together in a cool "pad" of their own with no one to tell them what to do! Cute girls, occasional monsters, cool cars, the beach, sun, music....

Thanks Peter Tork! Rest In Peace
