Mid 70's had exactly that same fracture at the ball.. but sorry, never actually got to the structure of the fault... They must be as you say threaded.. Will say though that it hung on for at least a year or two before I bought a replacement.. Matter of fact, I sawed off the ball and "bent/angled" the post in a vice and by coincidence it is a perfect hex fit for the mount socket of a Boss vocal monitor.. Still in use on occasion...

Cheers

John

Hey John,

Thanks! If it is threaded, figure JB weld would be good enough to hold the hex rod in place. Even TIG welding will trash the chrome. Hoping to avoid that. Wanted to find a better mount that didn't require drilling extra holes in the bass and toms. Elusive so far.

Man. just as well I'm a junk collector... I just found the ball on an inch of post in the shed ... Back to the vice, and sure enough it is threaded... should be an easy fix and both pieces are steel...( The ball is threaded about 12mm deep)

Cheers

Creighton... and a Question for you... does your P-100 have a Toe Stopper.. I have one for sale but I don't think I ever had the Stopper...

Thanks for checking!! Very good news. My P-100 does not have a toe stopper. I see a square hole where such could be attached. As it stands toes could be severed by the chain :-) Hope someone chimes in with more information.

Thanks ... My US size 11's don't fit either, with or without.. But it is a fast and smooth pedal...

Cheers

Maxwin by Pearl Stage 805 looks to be spot on. Think wrap is #57 Blue Flash. Found a neglected mess in Philly that has badges. Marks on my bass could be from this one. The other appears to be a sticker. eBay:111682397977

Thanks for everyone's help. Hope can get the Philly bits here and sort further.

Pics 1 and 4 badges. 2 and 3 work in progress. Never a dull moment posting photo's here :-)
