I bought these snare a few days ago,and I have never seen before something like that.The shell,the lugs,everything pearl MIT from 80-es, 14x6,5',but snare mechanism copy of Tama king Beat(Imperialstar)snares.Any idea are there Pearl snare drums with Pearl badge and snare mechanism like this one?

My guess is M.I.T. late 1980s..A no name drum..The muffler looks star to me,lugs are pearl copy's the strainer is a Tama copy...Mikey

My best guess: a NewSound snare drum. They liked to mix Pearl style hardware parts with Tama style ones, so mainly their drums looked in-between.
