Pearl... somethings

Loading...

Hey everyone, first post here. Been looking at getting a drum set of my own and stumbled on these cool looking Pearl drums, but after doing some research I, still not sure what model they are or if they're really worth much of anything.

Here are a couple pictures.

Does anyone have an idea of what model these are? And if so, are they worth my time to get to continue learning on? If not, there's a cheap Gretsch kit on craigslist, though it comes with a K ride.

Thanks!

That very well could be a much sought after Pearl President in tiger's eye wrap- basically a twin of mine. Check if it does not have wood shells- but rather a dark phenolic fiberglass type interior-like a chocolate brown color. IF you have a Pearl President there then clean her up and it's worth something. Before you can know how much it's worth you'll need to know if it's a President or another model and track down a tom mount from the 1969/70 era.

The kit just recently got new Evans J1 heads- great stuff. I am having trouble posting my photobucket images this week- why?

Thanks for the info! Would these be worth getting to play with friends a learn on, or are they really for mostly collectors at this point and might not be best to be banged around a bit?

That's not #7 Tiger's Eye, but #27 Gold Grain Pearl.
