From what I have in literature the Pearl President was a fiberglass shell and not wood. Unless the name was used at another point for wood shells they have always been fiberglass.

We have a new resident Import expert that can probably shed some light on this topic.

had these years would like to get them playing again!

i thought they were the president series because of the lugs. ive only seen them on these kits.

The hardware says late 60's early 70's. the color is probably early 70's..

What is the complete kit and sizes...

I did see some Japan President Export from the 79 catalog, but not with that hardware or lugs.

A little more research should get to the bottom of the set.

the bass drum is 22" x 14" with 10 lugs per side.

there is what i think is a cymbal mount on the top right side of the bass.

and i have a 13" x 9" tom with internal damper

dont have any other drums than this. the previous owner said there was a floor tom but it got broken and thrown away.

i would like to source another to complete the set! and maybe a snare.

i have been looking around and found that the presdient series was Fibreglass AND Fiberwood. i dont know if the kit ive got is the fibrewood one ( dont really know what that looks like) its not fibreglass!

I'd say your drums are part of the 72 kit, either Jazz Deluxe or Pearl Artist, judging by the warp ,as they used the plain colors from 72 onwards , check to see if the shells are wood, fibreglass or wood fibreglass.The fittings eg tom mount looks right for the pree 78 kits.
