PEARL MMX??? Help needed for Identification

Loading...

Hi guys, I am looking to purchase a mixed kit online advertised as Pearl MMX and 1 Pearl Maple custom tom. However the image shows a kit which seems to have shells with different lugs than the MMX kit has. Can anybody identify the shells from the picture? Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks

I've owned a few MMX & MRX kits. It looks like the larger rack tom is a later model. Probably an add on. They switched to the single bridge lugs (sorry, I don't know when). The others from what I can tell from the pics are older with the connecting lugs. They used to make their exports like that too. If they're MMX they'll be 4ply w/ re-rings. I'm not an expert, just from my personal experience. Hope it helps.
