Pearl MMX drum set

Loading...

I have an opportunity to purchase this three piece drum set. What would be a reasonable price for this kit? I will have to purchase the mounting arms as they do not come with the drums. I have not owned a top of the line Pearl kit and this one looks cool with the gold hardware. The shells have re-enforcement rings which should give them somewhat of a vintage vibe. The sizes are 13, 16, 22. I am not 100% sure of the depth sizes.

Does he sell his cars with no wheels ?

I suggest getting a seller that sells playable complete kits. I wouldn`t bother with that one. Just because of that.

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

It didn't bother me because I will snare stand the tom and place the rims mount/floor tom legs on the floor tom. Interesting comments though. I would absolutely feel that way about a vintage Ludwig or Slingerland kit. I suppose I have a double standard with the Pearls but deep down, I just really don't like the look of the tom mounting hardware. I know it is rock solid, but it always looks cheap to me.

Looks like a nice mid 90's Masters Custom Gold maple kit.

Without the hardware, you have a bargaining chip. Also, no matching snare drum.

A GOOD price is $600-800, reasonable is anything under a grand.

I'd guess he's asking over a grand for them because they are Pearls high end drums. The 24k gold plating does add bling, and was an up charge then.

Those maple drums sound fantastic. The sizes aren't my cup of tea, but if it's what you are looking for, that would be my guess price wise.
