Pearl MLX: Modern-day equivalent?

Loading...

I was wondering if Pearl is still making drums with this shell type, particularly snares. I believe it was 6-ply maple? Pearl's endless abbreviations of MLX, BLX, GX, etc., make my brain hurt.

Can any Pearl experts clarify?

Thanks,

Dan

I think for the maple drums stating early 90's there was mmx,mhx ,mlx one was mahog, one maple4 ply with 4 ply re rings and the 6 ply maple, I think pearl still offers the 6 ply maple as a standard line,if not you could get them made from the custom shop.Or find a used kit,I hear they are quite the bargain.
