Pearl guys --need help !

Was wondering if you Pearl experts can tell me anything

about this older Pearl hi hat stand that i found. I thought

it was overpriced, so i haggled the seller down to $75, and he came

back with "$80 and we have a deal".. So i just wanted to know

what exact model this is.? It looks like a higher end HH stand from

the early to mid 90's, but i can't find anything like it on the

vintagedrumguide.com site in any Pearl catalogue..

It looks solid but still light weight due to being single braced..

A new Pearl HH C930 is double the price.

So should i wait for something else to pop up or just go with this one ?

Any thoughts are appreciated..

It looks like someone needed some extra height or stability on the stand and found a creative way to add 2" to the stand.

You have a H950 HH stand from the 80's... You will find it in the 1989 spare parts catalogue..

And I am using the H850 that I purchased back then from the same catalogue... also single braced & with the same footplate... almost the same but without the spurs... I am using it in preference to a later 1000 series Pearl (that almost takes two people to lift)...

Thanks for the replies, but i'm gonna skip on that stand.. Even at $80 CDN, i find it overpriced..

I have 2 other Pearl HH stands from that era that are single braced that i bought used for under $50,

so this one seems like a crappy deal..He also doesn't look like he's gonna go that low.

So... Next.........
