The tom mount/ ft leg mounts and spur style will narrow the time frame a bit.

Pearl first introduced the FG shells in the American market in their 1970 catalog. In that catalog they were labeled "Fibreglass" but were the same shells. That catalog offered four types of shells: Fibreglass, Wood-fiberglass, Wood, and NP Phenolic (which actually debuted in the 1969 catalog and was kind of a fore-runner to the FG shells).

The fiberglass shells continued to be available through the 1982 catalog, but were not listed in the 1983 catalog.

teverson-sr is right -- style of spurs and tom mounting hardware as well as the badges will help narrow down it's date. However, there was basically no change in any of this from 1970 to about 1976. The hardware made a change about this time, and the badges changed around 1980 (along with some minor but subtle hardware changes.

Your sizes are rare -- not nearly as easy to find as the standard 22/16/13/12!

Wow I'm jealous!

Plain white has never been my favorite, but with the age, condition, and sizes you picked up here, you've got quite a set of drums!

Everything I see about these drums tells me more-than-likely late 70s. IF I'm not mistaken, the spurs you have made their debut in the 1978 catalog. The badge didn't change until the 1980 catalog. Now, as for the 7/8" tom arms, the type you have didn't show up until the 1980 catalog as well... so if this is all original it was probably not manufactured until mid-to-late 1979 during somewhat of a transitional period.

Just my opinion, anyway.

Now, for value. Personally, based upon the condition and sizes, not a penny less than $1000 (drums and basic hardware only). Again, just my opinion... Hope this helps.

Interesting about these drums-the lug edges are slightly rounded off. I see this occasionally and wonder if the dies were just wearing out...Before seeing Bill's post I was going to say the same approximate date, 78-ish.Soon after the hex-rod mounts were phased out. The 7/8" posts may have been replaced, as the ratcheting type tend to wear at the connection with the pipe/roll pin and loosen up. The poor man's Blaemires...very nice drums.

The Vari-set hardware as seen here was the hardware that took over for the hex rod hardware of the earlier 70's. The ratchet style arms (if I am understanding you correctly) only showed up on their cheaper drums. My W/F kit had all the same hardware and badges as this kit but came with the hex rod hardware. After replacing the mount on my 14" for a third time due to cheap pot metal construction, I replaced mine with the Vari-Set hardware. To heck with the extra holes, I just needed the gear to work!

Nice score Gary.

WOW! I'm still looking for one of these. I had one, and was VERY impressed, but had promised it to a friends son.

Mine was a 22, 12, 13, 16 with COS snare. Mine also has the hex post. In fact, here's a picture or three.

Congrat's on a fantastic find!
