Well, Steve Martin's thing was funny. However I was thinking of this instead... more fun to watch at least... IMHO.

They were offered briefly in the 70's, wasn't a special order finish. Still looking for a set...

Bought a vintage kits a week ago and got a snare drum with that cool egyptian finish you're talking about . This one is a maple shell and in wonder if that's a rare combo since I only remember this finish with the fiberglass / wood - shells in the 70s - at least here in Sweden .
