Pearl COB Snare?!.

Loading...

I found this great 10 lug snare made by Pearl that appears to be COB. Super heavy, no magnet. It has a throw off switch but is missing the butt. What is there are two vertical holes similar to those on the throw off side. Any thoughts as to what was/should be there?

Thanks in advance

As always, can we have a look? It helps us to visualize the actuality.

You state"made by Pearl".Is it a Maxwin?I've seen 10 lug Maxwins,in which case it most likely is COS.I personally like Maxwin drums-better than most student/budget drums.

It really sounds more like a Pearl Jupiter. If you post some pix, especially of the holes, we might make it easier on you. If it is a Jupiter, it could be the "Sensitone" model, with the strainer replaced.

Here is a pic of my 10 lug, Pearl COB snare butt. Mine isn't the Jupiter model as it doesn't have the parallel strainer, but I forget the model number. And when I say mine, I'm speaking in past tense - I sold it a while back.
