The logo on the mount isn't really a badge as such. That looks to be a standard low-line luan drum, just about the time Exports were introduced. Same grade as Maxwin.

The one on top is the logo of the tom mount, not the badge of the shell. I'm guessing late 1970s - early 1980s. How about the inside of the drum?? Can we see that?

From the information/pictures available, I'd say right around 1980, possibly an early "Export" drum. I've based that on these points:

1) 10/20 lugs on the BD, but the "cheaper" T-rods and claws.

2) The tom mount w/Pearl logo showed up in 1978 and was discontinued mid-80s.

3) That appears to be a "wine red" and I'm pretty sure that did show up until 1980.

That's the best I can do...

It is as Bill says, Export in Wine Red... Could be as late as 1985, Take a look at the Export 5300 series catalogue.. Same Wide inlay on the hoops.. I had a set in the same colour which was an "impulse buy" when our Keyboard players music shop was heading into bankruptcy...
