Hey guys... im new to the Forum and would just like to say im glad I found this place. I recently purchased what looks to be a '68 Pearl with a Galaxy wrap finish. I was wondering if anyone had any info on where this was built and whether or not this is a decent vintage kit to get me into vintage drums. Thanks!
Pearl '68? Newbie...

Photos would help these vintage Pearl drums are good drums. What type of shell wood or fiberglass? What model is your set? Mikey
Can you tell anything form just these photos OR should i wait until i pick them up, clean them up some, and post other pics? JUst in case your wondering, I am NOT just buying this to try and profit... i'm an honest to goodness rock drummer trying to get into vintage intsruments.
And to be honest with you... I JUST won them on ebay for 150.00. So, these are the sellers photos.
By the photos i don't think it's a Pearl set looks like a set of drum made by Star.Star is before Tama was tama...I don't set any badges when you get the drums please post some photos of the badges if any and the T-rods and claws on bass drum..But like i said iam think Star set this is just a guess but the shells are 3 or 4 ply with rings if its a Star set the shells will have three rings on the floor tom and bass one on each end of shell and one in the middle these are on the inside of the shell...That finish is a rare one to fine i have only seen a hand full of these sets on 30+ years is dealing in vintage drums...Looks like you are missing some parts i will have all parts that are missing....Mikey
So if it is a Star, is it worth working on? I havent paid for them yet.
Here some other photos.
