Hey folks,
Haven't posted anything in a while because I'm not in the vintage drum game anymore, but could use some advice from you great vintage drum folks regarding a snare drum that im looking to pick up at very reasonable price. I'm not familiar with Pacific drums, but do know they are decent, even great sounding mid range drums. I was looking for a nice maple snare drum to keep at one of the venues i play at, and found a PDP CX SERIES snare drum in a nice white lacquer finish, which i think will look great with my restored vintage Stewart bass drum, that i repainted in a nice surf blue. My question is, are these drums any good and has anyone had any experience with them.? I once had the 10x4 popcorn snare they made and thouht it was a great drum. But the one I'm looking at is a 5.5x14. Also, what wood is the cx series made up of ? I haggled the price to $80.00 CDN. Any and all thoughts are appreciated.
Cheers,
Rob
