Paiste stambul nickel silver or bronze?

Can anyone tell me what type of paiste stambul ride would have this ink stamped in black lettering? Im trying to find out if it's the nickel silver version or the later b8? Bronze.

This site might help a bit. It helped me ID my Swiss made Ludwig Paiste hats. Good stuff.

Succinct timeline, but it is a pity that site has no pics. Still, it remains a useful adjunct to the wiki which does have a few pics of Stambuls:

Steve yes too bad there's no pictures. In my case it was the only site I could find with the earlier Ludwig Paiste info. Both Swiss and German. Entry level stuff but some sounds pretty good.

And thanks zenstat the on I was looking to maybe buy lookes like the one on the first page you've shown the stambul, with the black lettering, someone got it for 37.50 - English pounds. I was just wondering if they sound any good, and mainly for jazz or big band stuff.

I'm using a realy nice 40s trans stamp 22" ride in a big band and it is realy nice however I love the darkish sound but I'm thinking it doesn't always cut through enough. To me the ultimate challenge is having one that has darkness and warmth but at the same time sounds more lively, and cuts with a good bit of definition. I got curious cos this cymbal was cheap.

A Stambul with black ink is most likely B8 especially if the type stamp at 3 o'clock is black in addition to the logo stamp above the bell
