My pre serial 602 bottom hat has vent holes like New Beats. I've always assumed the holes were 'factory'. Am I wrong?.....marko

I have a 16" crash and a 14" top hi hat that I bought in the 60s and have used up until today. I base all my other cymbals on the 602 when I buy new cymbals. As you can see, no damage. I am a jazz drummer so it might all relate in how you play them.
